A group of public / private entities that intend to produce social value leveraging their data
To enable Impact Deal vision, the Data Club has been established as a group of public / private entities that intend to leverage their data in a collaborative fashion aimed to generate positive social impact within and outside their respective core domains.
Data Club members will bring proprietary datasets as key assets in the Impact Acceleration Program. By way of example, the data will relate to: urban life quality and security, financial activities and investments portfolios, non profit projects, corporate welfare initiatives and people mobility.
Proprietary datasets will be managed in a secure way, anonymized in compliance with the internal regulations of each of the members and upon external data processing assignment procedure as required by the GDPR and other European laws and regulations.
Data collaborations will be activated only for enterprises taking part in the Program Phase 2 (see the Program structure). A single data collaboration may include one or more Data Club members and the selected enterprise.
The Data Club is open to new entries, and we imagine it as the seed of a Data Space for Social Impact.
A Data Space (one of the pillars of European Data Strategy) for social impact would be a digital platform/network designed to leverage the power of data to drive positive social change. The data could come from a variety of sources, including government agencies, non-profits, private companies, and individual citizens. The platform would facilitate data sharing and collaboration across organizations and sectors to drive collective action and maximize social impact.
For the second edition of Impact Deal (2023),
the members of the Data Club are:
The City of Turin has always been engaged in activities to support urban innovation, thanks to Torino City Lab, the City’s open-air innovation laboratory, and several projects financed with European and national funds.
Among these, CTE NEXT, the House of Emerging Technologies in Turin, aims to create a widespread technology center on 5G and emerging technologies applied to four strategic sectors: Smart Mobility, Urban Air Mobility, Industry 4.0 and Innovative Urban Services.
The City of Turin therefore adheres with interest to the Impact Deal Project, committing itself to guide businesses in the use of free data of AperTo as well as to support them in co-designing use cases of urban interest by favoring access (where possible) to other specific datasets, such as urban mobility flows also thanks to the support of CTE-NEXT partner.
